The English Unit of Beliatta Central College consists of nine teachers of English. We work as a team and create a conducive learning environment to make the students' second language learning a pleasurable one!

We could increase the passing rate of English Language to 91% last year at the GCE Ordinary Level exam. Idt is our prime objective to create  stress-free classroom environments where students feel confident to focus on the communicative aspect of the second language acquisition. Our students are performing well at the English Day competitions. We have English medium classes from grade 6 - 11. We have English Literature for grade 10 and 11 students. General English is done for the Grade 12 and 13 students. 

English Only Day is another English language-related activity we carry out. Every Friday we conduct the morning assembly in English. We display sign boards in English in the school premises. English Activity Room is another interesting place for the students to practice basically  speaking and listening.
